Dr Simon A. Waldman is an Associate Fellow at the Henry Jackson Society and a visiting fellow in
Middle Eastern Studies at King’s College London where he was previously a lecturer for five years.
Simon’s research and teaching focuses on international diplomacy towards the Middle East, state
building and leadership in the region, Turkish history and politics and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Simon’s most recent book, The New Turkey and its Discontents (Hurst and Oxford University Press, 2016),
was written with Turkish journalist Emre Caliskan. Simon's previous book, Anglo –American Diplomacy
and the Palestinian Refugee Problem was pubished in 2015 with Palgrave MacMillan).
